Fragmenting Ownership

Extractive economy- an economy where prots and bussiness go to companies and individuals outside of a community.
With the rising costs of property, food Insecurity, and gentrification, San Pablo Ave is plagued with an extractive economy. Transforming the block within San Pablo Avenue through a proposed property strategy, subdivision through Fragmentation, the community within is given the opportunity to create their own economies and be in control how much space they need, capable of adapting, avoiding obtaining too much or too little space. The Ground level within the project is designated to go through the most changes, with minor exceptions to the 2 level, however those that do not need the renovations would be lead to dictate their architecture.
